TIME AND TALENTS
Time & Talents has been actively involved in community work, social action and the provision of educational and recreational opportunities since 1887. Time & Talents is a multi-purpose charitable community organisation based in SE16. It is run by a voluntary Board of Trustees, involves over 70 volunteers and employs a small staff to run its various imaginative projects, raise funds and manage the work from its distinctive Community Centre in a former mortuary in the historic Rotherhithe Conservation Area.
Some of its services aim to meet the most acute needs of local people in one of the most fragmented and under-resourced areas of the capital, where social isolation is endemic. These include work with children, a Stroke Club, volunteering, community development work, youth work and a Neighbourhood Care Scheme.
The Centre has rooms available for hire at very reasonable rates.
