SURREY DOCKS FARM

Surrey Docks Farm is a 2.2-acre working city farm in Rotherhithe, established in 1975. It is a multi-use site, which provides a context for educational and environmental activities for the whole community throughout the year. It comprises a herd of milking goats, sheep, cows, pigs, donkeys, hens, ducks, turkeys, and bees. It has extensive gardens including a riverside vegetable garden, herb and dye garden, willow plantation and orchard.

Other facilities include a dairy, milking barn, observation bee room, café, and working blacksmith's forge. There are three projects specifically for people with learning disabilities. These are New Leaf, Farm Produce and Cow Pat projects.

Surrey Docks Farm is a unique environment used by a wide cross section of the community, making it an ideal setting for these projects. There are opportunities for volunteer and work experience involvement. The farm is open to the public and visitors come from Southwark and further afield.
