The African Arts Project (AAP) was created in November 2003 with the aims and vision of improving and promoting African Arts and Culture. We are committed to teaching the African and Black Ethnic Community in the UK different kind of Arts, such as: Music, Dance, Drums, Theatre, Drama, Comedy and Creative Writing. The AAP organises art workshops and exhibitions of artwork from Africa and those created in the UK by our children and young people.
To boost the imagination of our future artists, the AAP organises a Scrabble Club and Book Club for recreation and leisure time with the objective of bringing the community together, improving and mastering English and French and promoting culture. By teaching African Arts to children and young people, the AAP aims to combat crime and relieve poverty and unemployment among African and Black Community. The AAP understands and recognises that there is dormant talent and art skills in everybody and what is needed is only an opportunity to resuscitate it, therefore, the AAP is the answer.
